Administration and management comes from various professional and extensive backgrounds, ensuring that this exciting new company will grow from strength to strength. Here are a handful of the key members that build the day to day running of BMT Restoration Inc.

  • Jim Byrnes

    Jim Byrnes President Byrnes has owned, controlled and overseen investments in the Automotive Industry, Property Development, Finance, Mining, and Construction Industries. Byrnes now sits as Chairman from his family office, which operates as an investment company, private equity company and joint Venture funder in choice projects.

    Jason Lemberg CEO

    Jason Lemberg is an automotive industry leader, influencer and passionate automotive enthusiast. With more than 20 years experience in the automotive industry, of which nearly all has been within the luxury and ultra-rare car segment, Jason is now the CEO for BMT Restoration Inc. which is the world’s largest automobile restoration facility. In that capacity, he manages more than 250 employees and guides the management of maintaining nearly 100 vehicle restoration projects at any given time within the more than 20,000 sqm facility specifically set up to re-build classic vehicles of Concours quality and merit.

    Jason’s passion for cars has always been evident dating back his first car, an early Karmann Ghia that needed restoring. Deeply influenced by the restoration, Jason found true devotion for restoring a car to its original beauty which lead him next into the first of many personal Porsche 914 projects. Having first spent time cutting his teeth with Porsche of San Diego as a technician, Jason then joined Symbolic Motors in San Diego, Ca . Fueled by the same passion for automotive restoration and high standards of perfection, he advanced through the ranks over 12 years from Mechanic, Fabrication, Specialist, Foreman, Service Writer, and Manager till finally Director of Restoration. Running a team of specialists that consistently restored nearly many cars per year, Jason was also directly responsible for UHNW client relations and collector investment consultations. In 2014 alone, Jason realized $1.2M gross profit for Symbolic Motors and then in 2015 guided the restoration department into a stand-alone division for Symbolic Motors as they sold off all remaining business.

    With Symbolic Motors, Jason’s accomplishments include having twice won Best in Class at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and also holding the record for the highest priced car sold at auction- $12.4 M for a 1957 Scaglietti Body Pontoon Fender Testarossa. He also has had cars regularly featured both on the lawn and at auction at Concourso Italiano, Concourso d’Eleganza Villa de Este, Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Gooding Auction (Monterey, Amelia Island and Scottsdale) Bonham’s & Butterfield Monterey, RM Sotheby’s (Monterey, New York, Amelia Island and London), and Barrett Jackson.

    Having mutual respect for the automotive industry and driven by restoration, Jason and President Jim Byrnes of BMT Restoration Inc maintained professional connections over several years in the luxury automotive segment at both auctions and Concours. In 2015, Jim asked Jason to relocated his family and take the helm of BMT Restoration Inc, teach and re-invigorate the team, and usher BMT Restoration Inc onto the world’s stage with Concours quality restorations.

  • Gavin King
    Jaguar Manager

    Gavin King Jaguar Manager

    Gavin King is a Jaguar specialist originally from the Northern Beaches of Sydney and later the Central Coast of NSW. Gavin’s passion for motor mechanics came from racing motocro ss during his teenage years which included maintaining and modifying motocross bikes in the family garage along with buying, repairing and selling on other bikes as a way of funding the racing. Gavin then served the first 3 years of his motor mechanic apprenticeship as a Jaguar Mechanic at an independent Jaguar specialist in Brookvale working on models ranging from near new XJ’s and XJS models, to restoring the mechanicals of classics such as E Type’s, XK’s and MKII’s. In search of experience in other models, Gavin then moved to finish his final year at another specialist workshop in Brookvale focusing on Aston Martins.

    In the final years of his apprenticeship, Gavin worked after hours and weekends rebuilding a damaged Ferrari 365GT4 2+2 and a 308 GTS for a Ferrari enthusiast and also working for a Restoration Company specializing in restoring E Type Jaguars. With all of this experience on board at such a young age (21), and getting a taste of the restoration business, Gavin made the bold move of opening his own restoration company specializing in the cars he lo ves - Jaguars –specifically XKs and E Types, and Aston Martins.

    Concours Sportscar Restoration was founded in 1993 and quickly grew in size and reputation, prompting 4 premises changes to upsize un til finally relocating to the current premises on the Central Coast in 2001. During these 20+ years, Gavin and his team of specialist Mechanics, Panel beaters and Spray painters have restored many classic vehicles, primarily E Type’s and XK’s, but also XJ’s, MKII’s and a number of Aston Martins and Ferraris. Concour s D’Elegance achievements are many including multiple Jaguar and Aston Martin National titles. The company is now as busy as ever and employs very specific experts in each area and continues to r estore vehicles for customers all over the world. In 1999 Gavin was approached by one of Australia’s wealthiest businessmen to build a totally accurate recreation of the 1953 Le Mans winning C Type. This was achieved and led to orders from all corners of t he world and are regarded as the most accurate and best recreations available anywhere. It also lead to building all alloy Low Drag coupe and Lightweight E Type recreations.

    Gavin’s passion for excellence has seen him regarded worldwide as an authority on restoration of XK and E Type Jaguars, contributing to restoration bibles such as Original Jaguar XK by Philip Porter. Sir Stirling Moss, after driving a C Type recreation built by Gavin and his team at Le Mans historic meeting in 2003, proclaimed the car is just as I remembered a C to be – but if I had that power in 1953 no one would have seen which way we went! After restoring XK120 roadster chassis 661123 from a derelict barn find into a multi concours winner, Australian Classic Car Magazine named the car their Classic Car of the Year in 2010, describing the car as close to perfection as one could imagine.

    After meeting the Director of BMT, Gavin relocated in early 2013 with his family to the Philippines to co-ordinate the restorations of the 70+ Jaguar cars within BMT Restoration Inc and to bring the knowledge and information he has to build a run of 11 C Type’s and 11 Low Drag Coupe’s

  • Malcolm McGregor
    Coach Works Manager

    Malcolm McGregorCoach Works Manager

    Malcolm is an Australian heading the Body Shop team here at BMT. Malcolm left school to pursue and apprenticeship with his father Keith, at the age of 17. Malcolm’s father ran a large crash repair business called K&M. After closing K&M in 1979, Malcolm worked in a Holden factory for several years and later went onto hone his body shop experience at various shops in Queensland, Australia. There Malcolm undertook restoration work on vehicles from VW combi -vans to Holden and Ford muscle cars. Malcom’s 35 years’experience plays a pivotal role in producing the highest quality body work repairs here at BMT.

  • Trevor Prince

    Trevor Prince Body Prep Manager

    Trevor Prince is from the UK managing the body prep shop here at BMT. Trevor has grown up around cars from an early age as his father owned a large body shop near Reading just west of London called Prince Brothers. In teenage years Trevor spent his weekends and school holidays working repairing and restoring cars. At the age of 16 Trevor left school and did his apprenticeship as a light vehicle body repairer.

    Trevor moved on to Car world in 1991 and furthered his training in chassis alignment with Chief Automotive and Genesis laser alignment. 1994 Trevor started his own Body shop Apex Vehicle Repair Centre with his friend Jonathan Bryce. Apex won Lloyds Bank small business of the year in 1997, after that Apex went on to gain Insurance, lease and Motor manufactory approval. By 2009 Apex was accredited with PAS125 British Kite Mark status. Trevor and Jonathan decided to sell their business and take different paths leading Trevor here to BMT. With nearly 30 years’ experience in car body repair and alignment Trevor has the skill and knowledge to coordinate his team to the highest quality of workmanship.

  • Carl Holland
    Paint shop Manager

    Carl Holland Paint shop Manager Carl Holland is an experienced painter from the UK. Carl did his 3 year apprenticeship as a painter at Prince Brothers near Reading just outside of London; Carl also worked alongside Body Prep Manager Trevor Prince. Carl progressed at Prince Brothers working his way up taking on more responsibility training and learning with the latest paint technology from solvent to waterborne paint systems, as a result Carl was made Paint shop manager. This led Carl himself to teaching and trainer new apprentices. Carl extended his experience and knowledge with paint by painting custom paint on light aircrafts and custom cars. With nearly 30 years as an experienced painter working for the same company, Carl moved here to BMT brought with him his unique ability to lead, train and teach his team to the highest standard.
  • Sarah Lemberg
    Marketing Manager

    Sarah Lemberg Marketing Manager

    Sarah Lemberg joined Byrnes Motor Trust in June 2015 as the Marketing Manager and is responsible for the marketing, communication and public relations efforts of both the world’s largest automotive restoration facility and its brand. In addition to strategic business relation efforts, she directs media relations, branding, advertising and social media. She manages and oversees website development, events, charitable contributions, marketing training and more.

    Sarah has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing and sales industry. Prior to joining the team, she has built a powerful career focused directly in charge of marketing, sales and advertising in several industries including both Smithsonian and Auto Museums, two luxury California wineries, and luxury real estate in La Jolla, California. She was also a member of the Walt Disney Corporation for 5 years moving up through various positions at both The Disneyland Resort and Buena Vista Pictures Inc where she was Director of Operations.

    Moving to the Philippines with her husband Jason, she has joined the team to develop the Byrnes Motor Trust brand, complete with rebranding its logo and redesigning its website. Sarah will be focused on increasing awareness for Byrnes Motor Trust Restoration via Social Media, Press, and Public Relations and supporting the expansion as Byrnes Motor Trust launches onto the world's stage with an established reputation for Concours quality restorations. Responsible for the ongoing narrative in both research and photos for each restoration project that is finished, her team will be also creating restoration books so that each car’s legacy is chronicled and can travel with the car on to its new owner.

    Sarah is a proud 18 year volunteer for Special Olympics Southern California where she serves as Volunteer Director of Ceremonies and Events for the State games. She attended CSU Long Beach where she graduated with an MBA in Marketing. She also received her BA from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, where she focused her studies in both Theatre Arts and Psychology.
